A little work for a big upgrade. The plastic latches on the Igloo Marine cooler didn’t even last a year on my boat before breaking at the hinge. After breaking during a fishing trip I ordered the stainless steel latches as a fix. These are very well-built and I don’t foresee them suffering the same fate that the all plastic latch did due to the hinged design. My only complaint is that the screw hole spacing is not the same on these hinges as the plastic ones, which required me to drill additional holes into the cooler lid to…

Replacement stainless steel latch post Easily installed but i had to use some thread tape to secure the screws as the holes were worn out. But after continuous use that is to be expected. Again no regrets
