This specific order would not burn like the others and would not melt properly Our 9 and 12 yr old use this cord to make zipper pulls and key chains. This specific order would not burn like the others and would not melt properly. Not sure what the difference was, but seemed like it different than what we had ordered before.
Inspect the entire length before cutting After cutting the 100′ cord into 5′, 10′, 20′ and 50′ lengths, I came across several flaws in the cord while bundling each length. I don’t plan on using it for supporting my body weight. The next time I order paracord I run my hands over the entire length to inspect for flaws and cut my lengths to remove any flaws. I’ve attached a picture of the worst flaw that wound up being on my 20′ section.
I recommend sticking to the sellers that say made in the … As expected. I have ordered quite a few paracords on Amazon for our Veterans Center so the Veterans can make paracord bracelets as fundraisers. I have to say buyer beware if you are looking for quality mil spec cords ask questions before buying. Some are not 550 even though they are listed as such and they do not work well for this application. I recommend sticking to the sellers that say made in the USA for quality. It has been hit or miss with the other sellers.
