Love Love Love Smartwool Socks I have worn smartwool socks for many years. This type (mine is the low quarter) is my favorite. I have nerve problems in my feet, so I am very particular what I wear. Nothing scratchy etc. These socks have a light cushion in the front bottom and under the heel, with a tighter section (not too tight) around the arch to help support it. They last forever! Warm, breathable, medium-weight socks I love these warm, breathable, supportive socks. The “Outdoor Light” seem to be more of a medium-weight to me; definitely thicker than the “Run Light”. This year’s women’s size medium seems to run a little larger than previous years, so if you’re right on the edge size-wise, consider the small. I wear a women’s size 9 and these are a touch too large. They didn’t seem to shrink at all in the wash, either.
Worth the $18! I have a lot of foot problems and pain, and it’s surprising how even socks can make a difference. I am in love with ‘Balega’ socks, but my feet do get sweaty and eventually smelly after a day at work or the gym. I’m a size 5 1/2 and purchased a small, they fit perfectly.
