Too Snug in the Seat Columbia has apparently changed the pattern and cut of the Roc II line. The shorts are cut way too snug in the seat which resulted in a perpetual “wedgie” for me. I have at least three pairs of earlier model Roc IIs which fit perfectly. I wish clothing companies would at least change the name of a line when they change the specifications.
Not as good as old version Disappointing. These shorts are OK, but not as good as the old version. Material is thinner and does not have the same feel. Also is bigger through the waist than same size in old version.
More quality problems at Columbia I bought two pairs of these shorts in different colors, but the same size 36. The first pair fit fine but the waist on the second pair was too big by about 3.5 inches. I mean way off. I measured. I tried to shrink them to no avail. This inconsistency is very frustrating and seems to be par for the course as Columbia moves its manufacturing to cheaper and cheaper places and materials. I had a similar problem with other pants I bought at the local store, but it was easier to bring them back.
