The worst Xacto Blades EVER I’m a graphic designer and have been using X-Acto #11 blades for over 24 years and never in those years have I been disappointed in their product. I LOVE X-Acto blades and actually get very excited when the new pack of #11 blades gets opened. The little box, lifting the lid, then folding back the brown waxy paper to see in all their glory, all perfectly lined up… the entire group of new, razor sharp blades. Then you carefully remove a blade from the pack… sometimes the oil that they put on…
Like most other people reviews Like most other people reviews, I’m highly disappointed with these new blue blades. They are not sharp as my old non blue blades. The sharpness of these blades seem to varied between blades as well. I used these for gunpla so I’m using them to cut various plastic and the cuts made by these blue blades are not smooth. I also have the z-11 blades, the zirconium nitride ones, and it outperform this blue blades but at double the price. I will order the z-11 and give a review on them as well. As for…
Bad Batch…. I Hope Maybe I had a bad batch but the tips seem to be bending under small amounts of pressure. They blade also is not staying very sharp. I come from a background working with metallurgy specialists and from what I know about hardened steel is you should gain rigidity, strength and the ability to hold a sharper edge but loose flexibility. It seems like some of the other batches I have had in the past followed that rule when a tip would occasionally snap off. But these new ones seem like sharpened…
