Good quality and run true to size My only complaint is that I’m stupid. I bought a half size up – I normally wear 9, but I bought these in 9.5 thinking that I’d need to go up slightly to compensate for the fact that I’d be wearing thick socks. Nope, these are slightly too big even with thick socks. If you are looking to buy these boots, buy your size, don’t go up even a half size like I did. Other than that, these seem quite good. I’ve been out hiking in them 2 or 3 times, and they’ve already saved me from a twisted ankle…
Good Enough to Purchase Again. This is the second pair of these boots I have purchased. As a Park Ranger, I am on the scorching hot, rocky trails every day for hours at a time. The first pair lasted almost a year before the tread wore out, and the rubber toe finally began to separate from the leather. They give a good deal of ankle support and don’t become “floppy” over time. The only reason why only four stars is that the soles could be more springy – I have to wear extra insoles to have happy feet at the end of the…
