Great Mug – best ever, but Bad handle I’ve owned roughly 15 Coffee mugs over the last 10 years (Contigo, Trudeau, other Thermos, etc.), always searching for one that could keep my daily coffee hot for more than 2 hours. This is by far the best mug I have ever owned.Pros:The double-wall insulation keeps the coffee hot for HOURS on end. One trick I learned is that if you put boiling water in the mug for 5-10 Minutes prior to putting your coffee in, it will keep even longer, I’m talking upwards of 8 hours…
Good at keeping coffee hot, Abysmal quality of finish. Best mug I’ve found for keeping coffee hot, but the painted finish on these things starts flaking off within a few weeks. I solved this with one of them by using a heat gun to remove the paint.They’re not inexpensive–for the price of these mugs, this is an inexcusable defect. See my photo below of three of our mugs.
Thermos does NOT stand behind it’s products. Read on…. I have two of these. They work well BUT – the lid mechanism failed after two months of use on one of them. Called Thermos for warranty and they were happy to SELL me a new lid.
