5 Year Old Gives Thumbs Up My 5 year old daughter LOVES this product. I put hot chicken nuggets and hot rice in the Thermos after filling it up (and pouring it out) with boiling water like suggested. Daughter said food was still hot at school! I couldnât close the lid too tight because she couldnât get it open. I close it just enough so it wonât leak.
This is great for my kindergartener who loves soup This is great for my kindergartener who loves soup. The best tip is to pre-heat the container by putting hot water in it first and then pouring that out and putting in the soup. Similarly, fill it with ice for a few minutes before dumping the ice and putting in a cold liquid. That makes ALL the difference. Food tastes great, not metallic aftertaste, and it is nearly indestructible. It fits comfortably in her soft-sided lunchboxes. She loves it!!
Keeps food warm & no leaks or plastic leaching My 3 year old picked this out for herself. Everything is MLP over here, and Twilight Sparkle is her favorite, so this design is perfect. I heat up some soup in the morning and put it in the jar to send to school/daycare. So far I’ve gotten no complaints about cold lunch. The inside is all metal, except for the plastic lid, so as long as the jar remains upright no food is touching plastic, which is important to me.
