Solid Hiking Boots It took about a full days worth of walking to break these puppies in. But once broken in, they are very comfortable. I have very weak ankles and tennis shoes just don’t make the cut for me. I like how these boots come up to the ankles and they feel very secure in them. I also really like the color. Size was perfect. I generally wear an 8 I bought these boots for a recent winter trip to Iceland. Size was perfect. I generally wear an 8, this shoe for me ran really true to size. My feet are borderline wide, I purchased an 8 wide so that I would be sure to have enough room for multiple layers of thick wool socks – which ended up fitting perfectly!
