Very compact I was super impressed with the quality of these sticks and especially the wooden base. It is simply great how they retract for easy storage. I like how you can twist off the end to clean it. However, if you retracted before cleaning it, there would be a big mess. Overall, these are better than any roasting sticks I have used before.
