Sturdy but…. These bars are what I was looking for, I didn’t want “universal” bars that stuck out. But the thing with these bars is there are quite LARGE knobs that you use (you can see them in the pic, just didn’t think they were so big) If you are planning on using a roof basket you’ll have to do something like what I did. I just went to Lowe’s and got rust resistant washers and flat bolts that were the same size as the bolt on the knob. And used those so it would be flat and my basket would lay down…
These cross-bars are a perfect fit! I ordered the used cross-bars (manuafactured guranteed) and they arrived in perfect shape, just like new! These cross-bars fit perfectly on my 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk (1st Generation w/ Panoramic Sunroof)! The un-boxing was super easy and the installation was also super easy. Jeep Compass 2017 – No issue at all! I read the negative reviews and must say some of these people are not mechanically inclined in anyway.
