The Blaze series sleeping bags are constructed with a durable, polyester ripstop shell with a soft, polyester liner and are filled with synthetic TechLoft Silver insulation. TechLoft Silver insulation consists of multiple denier staple-length fibers that have a siliconized finish for maximum insulation, loft, and compactness. The Blaze uses two-layer off-set construction featuring a contoured hood and mummy shape, which help seal in your warmth. For added heat retention, the Blaze boasts an insulated chest and zipper baffle keeping the warmth in and the cold night air out. Looks like a pretty good bag …for the right use …time will tell. This is more of initial impression of this bag. I plan to come back to update further probably around the end of the year when the weather starts to get cold again. So I will leave it with a 4 star rating until it has had some more use and then decide if a change in the rating is needed.This (regular size) bag is meant to replace my son’s ALPS Red Creek 0 degree when he does his mid-winter scout camping. He sleeps a little cold and has mentioned feeling chilly / cold in the ALPS Red…
warm ! Super warm. It’ll make you sweat.
Fits 6’2″ 220lb man comfortably Very warm sleeping bag. It seems well made, like all other Alps products I have purchased. This is not a backpacking sleeping bag however, it is large, bulky and heavy but great for my use for camping.
