It was easy to assemble I bought this and it arrived yesterday. This morning I put it together. It was easy to assemble. It will require some leverage and a little muscle to compress the legs into the side rails but that’s what makes it durable and able to support your weight. I wish I had purchased these before our camping trip last summer. I’m glad I found this bargain, I bought 2. This is exactly the cot I was looking for!

Why did I wait so long? This is a real pain to put together – the first time. After that it’s still somewhat trying, but at least you know what you’re doing. And each time after that it gets easier.

Wrestling match This isn’t a folding cot that you can just take out of your trunk, open and sleep on. It has to be assembled each time you use it. The problem with assembly, and the reason that some of the reviewers say that it’s easier to assemble after you’ve done it several times, is that the side rails are approximately the same size as the canvas sleeves you have to put them in. I assume that the canvas will stretch with several assemblies. So when you assemble it, you have to push on it until the canvas…
