The Redwood is a “heavy duty” oversized rectangle bag. The Redwood series use Techloft Insulation. Techloft Insulation consists of multi-hole staple-length micro-denier fibers that have a siliconized finish for maximum insulation, loft, and compactness. The TechLoft insulation will keep you warm and toasty on those colder nights when you’d prefer to have more “wiggle room” than you get with your mummy bag. It uses 2-layer offset construction to eliminate cold spots. For transporting, we include 3 webbing straps with quick release buckles that keep your “rolled-up bag” secure. Since you have 2 choices in the amount of fill, you’ll be able to pick the bag that is just right for your needs.

Product Features

  • Oversized rectangle bag has cotton canvas outer layer, paired with a cozy 100% cotton flannel liner
  • Two-layer construction eliminates cold sports and traps in maximum heat
  • Roll-up straps allows you to easily roll and compress bag for transportation and storing
  • The ALPS OutdoorZ Redwood is on our best sellers list; after one cozy use, you’ll know why
  • Dimensions: 38″ x 80″, Weight: 11 lbs. 8 oz, Fill Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz., Zipper Size: #8

These bags are heavy, but they last and last and… My wife and I have had similar heavy-duty (emphasis on HEAVY) ALPS bags for the past eight years. We’ve washed them when they needed it (in commercial machines). My wife has probably slept in hers for 300 nights or better, I’ve slept in mine at least 600 nights, maybe as many as 800. My wife’s bag is still in good shape, but…

Great Quality for the Price I ordered 6 of these, along with another brand’s cotton sleeping bag liners (sheets) to put on large cots in a glamping tent. These absolutely surpass expectations for the price. They are large enough for a really big individual – my husband and I commented that maybe the two of us could fit it one and we’re not small at 5’7″ and 6′ and average weights. The cotton canvas cover is medium weight, not the heaviest, but by no means thin or cheap; it has a solid durable, strong feel. The…

Big and warm This is a MASSIVE sleeping bag.But that is exactly what I wanted. This is NOT suitable for backpacking: it is heavy, bulky and probably absorbs liquids easily. We used this on a two-night camp out in a tent.Temps were below freezing each night – no rain or snow.We had a perfectly warm, comfortable night of sleep and the cotton flannel interior was fantastic! Not sure how this would handle in wet conditions and I’m not sure I want to know…
