They do work on big cruise ships!!!! We just used them on a Princess Cruise in Alaska. Here is what we learned…. We just came back from an Alaskan Cruise with 9 people. We were on a Princess Ship. And these were a lifesaver!!!! It was really the only way to communicate! Cell phones don’t really work and/or are super expensive to use. Review after using for driving/roadtrip I purchased these for communicating with friends in different cars while going on drives or roadtrips.
