It is a Cool Cooler! Ok, I am not a fan of soft coolers. I love this cooler! Ruggedly built, two side pockets. Really folds into a box shape. Really keeps stuff cold! I am surprised how long the ice lasts and wouldn’t expect this kind of cooling performance from a soft side cooler. I strap it to the rack on my quad and it keeps all my stuff cold day and night and has pockets to carry some extra stuff for my outing. Shoulder strap lets you carry it easily and it disconnects if you want it out of the way…
but when you want something more packable and soft sided this product is great. Fit inside my 14′ kayak’s watertight hatch no .. Friday 5pm added my food and ice (about half and half volume-wise food/ice). I still had ice on Saturday 8pm…that’s 24+ hours, over 1 day. It was 85º out (colder during the night of course). And yes, there was melted water in there too – but totally servicable to keep food cold. A regular hard sided cooler (i.e. $30 from Walmart or such) can usually bridge that over to the 2nd day (just barely usually), but when you want something more packable and soft sided this product is great. Great lunch bag I work for the railroad and I’ve been using the 24-pack AO Cooler as an overnight lunch bag for several months now. Keeps everything cold for my two-day trips (using freezer packs and pre-frozen foods). It’s holding up well. I carry 1gal of water plus glass containers of frozen food = heavy. No problems with the zippers or the handle so far (though I wish the carry handle had some padding). The full-width side pockets are indespensible – love the side pockets!
