Some tips for getting the most from your Insulated Picnic Satchel This product was designed to transport hot and cold food together. As warm air rises and cool air falls, to ensure the best results, place cold food in the bottom compartment and hot food in the expandable top compartment. Place ice, ice packs or ice substitutes on top of covered contents for best cooling results and hot packs underneath for best heating results. The hotter or colder the contents are when placed inside the carrier, the longer cold or heat will be retained. Easy to clean: Both the interior and exterior of this product can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth with mild dishwashing liquid soap. Practice food safety: When transporting food, it is extremely important to keep cold food cold and hot food hot so that your food never reaches the “temperature danger zone”. This is where bacteria can grow quickly and cause food related illness. Keep cold food at or below 40 DegreeF and hot food at 140 DegreeF or above. Perfect for traveling, cold groceries and more! We bought this for a road trip because we didnât have enough space for a hard sided cooler large enough to fit what we wanted. I have had several people ask me about it and want to buy it, even in the short time Iâve had it. I now use it for trips to Costco and Aldi. Itâs especially nice because I donât have to head straight home with groceries in the summer.
Strong handles, heavy twill cloth, excellent bag! This is very well made, good strong leather handles and tough outside twill cloth so it should hold up well. It opens wide at the top with support so that it stands wide open to load it. It has good hardware for the over the shoulder strap that can be removed. I use it mostly to carry frozen foods and milk gallons from the grocery store. It’s the perfect size. It holds 2 gallons of milk and 6 packages of frozen vegetable packages easily. Works great!!! I think this is one of my best purchases from Amazon in a long time. I bought this bag so we did not have to lug bulky heavy cooler to the beach. I was nervous that our drinks wouldnât stay cold as long, but it worked great. We filled it with ice from the hotel and were on the beach from 10am-6pm with a temp of about 90 degrees.
