Perfect gift or decoration I knew the high possibility that this brass compass wouldn’t be very accurate, but it’s fine because I mostly bought it as a little decoration.The compass itself is beautiful, a nice dark bronze color and the arrow on mine had a green gem (the pictures shown above show the arrow without a gem, so the style might be randomized). The quality is beyond what they can possibly explain online! I bought these as a last minute “stocking stuffer,” for my two boys. We are all going our separate ways next summer. The Seller Mislead Me I asked the question to the community “does the outside of the lid have a date on it?” and the seller said “No”. This is NOT the case. Just like some of the other similar devices found on amazon, it does indeed have a date of “1885”.
