I placed coffee in the thermos and let it sit for about three hours in my freezing office and it was still hot. I recommend, as the box stated, you should place hot water into the thermos and let it sit before using it for hot drinks. Great quality product This little thermos is awesome! I got it make a gift for my dad and he loved it! It keeps drinks hot or cold all day, which is great because he can be on the road all day for work. The lid is actually a cup to drink out of and the bottle has a spout to make pouring easier.
