Perfect for campfire or grill roasting hot dogs, marshmallows, and more Neat that this company donates 100% of profits to charity! These sticks served me well on a recent Cub Scout camping trip. Quantity was enough for 80 campers to roast hot dogs and marshmallows for s’mores (we re-used them at same meal). And the length made it easy for lots of kids and parents to (safely) fit around the campfire and have their food over the fire at the same time (i.e., we weren’t all jammed up right at the fire). The sticks also made good kindling to get the fire going again…
Better than I expected When these arrived in the mail, I was expecting to open the box to find really thin, long skewers. I was surprised to find they’re like sturdy dowel rods!! No Joke, buy these instead of 1/4 in dowel rods in the future- they’re very strong and have just the right sharpness on the ends.
Standing Tall in the Pot OK, I didn’t buy these for the S’mores, but I needed a long stable stick to help prop up a leggy cactus, that had a spindly area due to a cold winter, but the new growth come in thicker, and made several shoots fold over. So, my plant needed help to support it’s newer and fuller growth. Now, every body is standing tall, and my Euphorbia Trigona doesn’t mind sharing its pot with the sticks.
