Basic but good I bought these for a 9 hr road trip with the family. We had two cars and they lasted the whole trip without any sign of battery drain. The sound came in very clear,
Satisfied with purchase I needed 3 radios, and the three radios I kept work flawlessly.I ordered a total of 5 radio’s, 3 worked perfectly and 2 were defective.The defective ones were returned and Amazon paid for the shipping.Amazon also reimbursed me for the defective ones.
I have used MANY brands over the years and these may be the best built of them Rather impressed with these inexpensive radios! I have used MANY brands over the years and these may be the best built of them. I have been able to achieve as much as five miles line-of-sight transmission in the California desert (no trees, no buildings, no obstructions). Audio quality is VERY GOOD/CLEAR and with sufficient volume! My only complaint is the ease with which one can accidentally change the channel and lose group communication. This is easily remedied by removing the channel knob…
