Counterfeit knife After receiving the knife and inspecting it, I suspected the knife was a counterfeit. I instantly contacted Benchmade with pictures and they confirmed this knife was infact a fake. They advised me to return the knife asap.
It is addicting and it is mine! The most expensive knife I have owned and I have owned many. I actually have thought about sending it back due to just feeling guilty about paying that much for a knife. The feel of the finish on the knife is very nice. Almost soothing. Ok but there are flaws, got to get lucky with the knife you get Blade wasn’t properly cantered, and didn’t move as freely as it should. Also the axis lock was a little sticky.I’ve handled others of this same knife and they functioned much better. So I know what to expect.I had heard Benchmade is having issues with quality control or maybe still are, so I guess if you’re looking at the details you might not be happy. If you don’t care about the details the knife would probably work fine but I didn’t pay the price for a sub-par…
