The Mini Griptilian features textured “handle scales” for lightweight strength and sure grip. Double 410 stainless steel liners add strength throughout the entire knife handle, while the 154-CM stainless steel blade has a satin finish and ambidextrous thumbhole open action. An ambidextrous AXIS lock system makes the knife easy to open and close.

Benchmade is proud to donate a portion of the profits from the sale of this knife to the Oregon Health and Science University Breast Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon to benefit their Breast Health Education Program. This program provides medical students, residents and practicing clinicians with standardized training to enhance their ability to detect palpable breast cancer in its earliest form.

Can’t beat it. These are my go-to gifts for people I really like. I carried one like this for years, until it died from literally being ran over by a bus. Benchmade offered to replace it, but I declined since it was my fault it ended up on the road anyway. I gave these to my groomsmen at my wedding as part of their gifts.Overall, a great starter knife in the “pretty nice, not your ordinary knife” world…A great first knife that will get folks hooked on to carrying non-garbage knives…

Fantastic EDC but pocket shredder Short Form: There is a very Zen aesthetic to doing something very ordinary and doing it spectacularly well. There is an equally Zen experience of appreciating such mastery only through time and exposure. I think the Mini-Grip really hits on both of those things. While it leans slightly more towards the “hard use” end of the pool, the Mini-Grip comes close to being a perfectly balanced EDC knife.
