Not what I expected but still good Bought these sticks thinking I could use them as marshmallow toasting sticks at a bon fire. I did not realize they were more like kabob sticks to use on a grill.
DO NOT BUY….. I purchased these to make S’mores, while I was toasting the marshmallow a little flame on the marshmallow would burn through the stick, causing the stick to snap. I tried this numerous times, getting the same result. Sticks exposed to small flame, cause them to burn in half. I ended up throwing all stick in the fire as firewood. I used twigs near me to make my S’mores.
Great for one time use The sticks are fairly long, but not long enough for a true campfire. We will have to be mindful that the sticks don’t get too hot as it won’t take much for them to burn up. Hence, we will be soaking them in water for a couple of hours. We will be using them around a small fire pit to celebrate our reading theme “S’more Readers” at the end of the school year.
