It does not work I bought this and a Cobra 29 LX. It looks nice and appears well made but problem is that it does not work, atleast not with the Cobra 29 LX. This states it will work as a CB antenna and that it will work with Cobra models. The radio displays an antenna fail warning and will not work. I bought a different antenna and it works just fine. If possible i would give this 0 stars.
Canât go wrong tbh Good antenna for how much it is. With 8 watts mounted on the trunk Iâm able to hit repeaters at 60 miles on vhf and about 45 miles on uhf. I do not have proper swr reading equipment so I canât say what that was but no complaints from the other end, with incoming audio sounding great. That being said the only complaint I could have and only reason itâs not 5 stars, set screws rust with the first sign of moisture. Within the first day it was visible, however not detrimental as of now.
Wrangler JL Worked great installed on the hood of a Wrangler JL. The set screws needed to be very tight so they would not hit when the hood was closed. I only checked the SWR at VHF (1:1.5).
