I like that it is small and bright This is my second purchase of this lamp. I like that it is small and bright. However, the reason I own two is that the first one was purchased for my son and while changing the battery for the first time the tab to the battery compartment broke. I taped it and kept if for myself and purchased this new one for my son. While the battery compartment did not break while opening this time I did take great care in removing it and it was quite difficult to do without putting a lot of muscle into it…
Not a bad little light Really nice little headlamp. I think everyone would agree that the battery access lid should be better designed. I just took a really sharp knife/razor blade and shaved down the lid catch just a little bit. It is much easier to open now and does not come open accidentally and it doesn’t feel like you are going to break it. If you are using lightweight gloves, it works ok. Reasonable price but turning it on/off is very finicky. The button free touch sensor to turn the unit on and off and adjust brightness is a nice concept but it is very finicky. It doesn’t matter if your fingers are clean, dirty, hot, cold, or wet, this unit usually takes about 5 tries to get it to respond the way you are intending. Once you get it turned on it is actually very bright for it’s size with good battery life. According to the manual it is water resistant. I have worn it for brief periods in the rain with no issues but the battery door…
