The best hiking poles I’ve owned. I bought these poles to replace a pair in which the carbide tips had worn down to nothing. I love these new poles. The clips for adjusting the length are more sturdy than the clips on my old poles, and the foam on the upper part of the poles below the handles allows for an easy grip when I want to choke up on them, even when wearing wool gloves. A solid five stars!

Being a pretty big guy Shortly after these arrived, I threw my back out and without these poles I wouldn’t have been able to get around the house at all. Being a pretty big guy, they had to stand up to a lot of pressure and they did not disappoint. The old back is feeling much better now and can’t wait to take these poles to the mountains.

These sticks have no equal. These poles feature quality points that no other manufacturer offers, at least not to my knowledge. The really big deal here is that Black Diamond chose to make their quick locks on the Trail Pro entirely out of stainless steel (there are small, red plastic adornments on the tops of the Trail Pro locks, but they are non-functional).
