They are still light reliable adjustable hiking/ski poles, but they made them significantly worse than they used to be for no apparent reason. My original poles had bright metallic finish with black length markings which I can still clearly see after years if use and abuse. The new poles came black anodized with white markings. Great hiking poles Great compromise between super light weight and price. The locking mechanisms are the best of all poles. The extended grips below the handles work great versus continually shortening/lengthening the poles.

Super comfortable, good value I’ve used these several times now for climbing in the Cascade range and they’ve pulled through without a hitch. I ordered these after trying out about a dozen pairs at a local store, weighing the different options based on price, weight, comfort, and features.
