It was like the pressure that was used to remove the hook … I guess you get what you pay for sometimes, but i’m not too impressed with the quality. I bought 2 pair, one for my 22 year old son and one for myself. After the first time that my son removed a hook from a fish’s mouth, he could no longer cut braided line with the cutter. It was like the pressure that was used to remove the hook may have bent or warped the pliers and they are not as tight as they were.. Not sure, but they are in the trash now. As for the pair that I have, I’m only going to use…
Great fishing multi tool that cuts right through braided line! This is a nice and convenient fishing pliers / multi tool. It has a bent nose on the tip of the pliers for fast removal of treble hooks as well as a cutting area that will cut through mono and braided line. I have not seen too many pliers that can cut braided line well and this tool cuts right through the braided line. It also has 2 knifes that are pretty sharp and cut well the only thing I would have liked to see is a losing feature to lock the blade out and make sure it would not fold back in…
What a dissapointment! What a disappointment! When I first got it I loved it. However after four fishing trips I am noticing rust forming and one of the screws came off of the handle. Side blades are hard to take out. STRICTLY for cutting line and pulling out hooks. I tried to cut the bard of of a hook with it and it almost came apart and left an indentation on the tool itself, now it barely cuts the line. Defiantly NOT a rugged tool.
