Carbon steel, sharp It says Carbon Steel on the blade, but I don’t know what’s the exact percentage/formula. It’s very sharp and seems to be sturdy too. Sheath is leather and looks awesome.
A good knife now even better! I wrote a review on this knife before it was offered with a sheath. The blade edge has held up incredibly well and the wooden handle has been customized to fit even better in my hand. I also added a lanyard that sets the knife off quite well. It now comes with a nice pouch-type leather sheath that really completes the whole package, so much so that I’ve purchased 3 more for friends and family. It’s a very good value and you can’t really go wrong!
With a little work 5 stars (for the price). This is a light weight package.If you are willing to finish this knife and sheath it would make a nice backpacker knife.I took some thick UV glue and sealed the hole in the handle where the blade fits in. I did this to keep moisture out ( this is high carbon steel ). The sheath is leather, ( thin leather ) and the knife fits snug. I’m looking for some plastic from a blisterpack to form into a sheath liner to prevent me from cutting the sheath and maybe myself.All in all, a…
