Keep tap water healthier and tasting better longer with Brita Longlast Pitcher Replacement Filters. Made with pleated filter technology for 3X longer life compared to 40 gallon filters. Longlast replacement filters reduce lead, asbestos, and cadmium impurities that can adversely affect your health over time (substances reduced may not be in all users’ water). Change the Longlast filters every 120 gallons, about every 6 months for the average family, for best performance. The pull top cap on these filters makes insertion and removal easy. With activated carbon to reduce chlorine taste and odor, these filters deliver great-tasting water and maintain a healthy level of fluoride, an additive in water (applies to fluoridated municipal tap water). The fibrous matrix in the filter holds active ingredients in place so no black flecks appear in your water. One LongLast Filter can replace 900 standard 16.9 ounce water bottles.

Will keep buying +++ I love these filters. I drink over a gallon a day and buying water bottles was getting a bit expensive and annoying (having to buy 2 cases a week and then running out without knowing). These are the 2nd set I buy. The first set of 3 lasted me about 4 months. So I would say a month per filter which in my case is great considering I was spending over $20 in water bottles each month. It is very convenient and inexpensive. And I can have cold water everyday without having to remember to put more…

Redesign Works Better; No Charcoal Floaties and Easier to Remove I like the new design. It is much easier to place in pitcher and remove than the previous. Plus I noticed the problem of charcoal floating around has decreased quite a bit. In fact, I don’t think there was any when using this filter. I do wish, though, they enclosed a new date sticker for the pitcher with the package like they used to.

Filter does not stay sealed tightly in place…certainly not water tight. I’ve read all the answers from Brita to the comments posted by unsatisfied customers about the filter NOT staying sealed tightly. I know about first rinsing a new filter in cold water for 15 seconds. I know that you need to line up the filter with the grooves. I know you then push down hard the filter so it locks in place – so called! AFTER HAVING DONE THIS, the filter still pops up a fraction causing water to leak through the sides of said filter. Now, I am 6’5″, 250 lbs. I lift weights 4…
