Seems ok. Blade finish not up to what I expect from Buck. Just received today so little early for any impressions other then out of the box into my hand. Looks and feels good for what it is a small pocket knife that you can easily have with you at all times. Have had a pocket knife with me since my grandfather gave me my first at 10 years of age and showed me how to get it shaving sharp. That would be over 60 years now. Got this to replace a knife I lost somewhere, happens. So far seems well made with the exception of the tool marks on the blade…

Love these knives I love this buck knife! I have the 500, 503, and 505. i carry the 505 everyday and keep the 500 in my truck. The reason I bought the 503 is because I wanted a knife that was a little bigger than the 505 but smaller than the 500. The 503 is perfect. It is small enough to fit in your pocket but big enough for larger cutting tasks than the 505 can handle. I plan to keep this knife in my pocket during hikes and hunts. It will Work perfect for any small cutting tasks. I couldn’t be happier!
