Better than my old Mavea! My very-much loved Mavea water pitcher fell on the floor and cracked a couple weeks ago, which sent me on the hunt for a new water pitcher. Originally, I was just going to get another Mavea replacement, but then I discovered that Mavea is no longer manufacturing pitchers anymore (or at least, as of July 2017, they aren’t). At first I bought an AquaGear, but after the third week, I found myself waiting nearly 30 minutes for the water to filter through, and that just wasn’t going to be workable…

The Compari-Shopper says:

Delicious Water Because of Magnesium; Convenient Size for Use, Small for Quantity The water actually tastes better. Seriously. The filter doesn’t just take stuff out, it adds magnesium in. And apparently, magnesium is delicious! And this tucks right into your fridge door if you want. However, it doesn’t hold a lot. If you like your water cold (so it needs to chill in the fridge for an hour or two after you fill the pitcher) and someone else in the house is going to be using this too, you may find that you need a second one; we did.But I do…

If at first you don’t succeed, try them all, or you might just want to try this one first… We have tried lots of different water filtration pitchers. We started with Brita, but weren’t completely happy with how the water tasted. When the pitcher cracked, we moved on to Clear2O. That water tasted fantastic, but the hose was a pain to use, and you had to remove the aerator from your faucet, which increased water flow, something you don’t want to do particularly during a drought. It also had a number of other design flaws. We gave that one away. We moved on to ZeroWater, and liked it…
