Sturdy but not much cushioning [EDIT 7/19/19] The shoes feel better now, I’ve lost some weight and my feet don’t hurt at all after a mile walk. I still use my Asics Ortholite shoes for longer walks but as I’m getting used to these Camel Crowns I am liking them a lot more than when I first tried them. I expect them to be durable. They seem to be well constructed but I won’t know for sure until I’ve had them at least a year or two, if then. That’s because I can’t walk very far in them and so I won’t be going for…
First trail shoe that has lived up to that name. First trail shoe that has lived up to the name that I have tried. Usually I have to wear my hiking boots, especially when I go off trail with my camera gear. I felt totally in control while hiking in these over rough ground. I had knee replacements so I want stable shoes and these fit the bill. I have an engineering friend who said if they work that well, they must be better than they need to be.
Very impressed with these shoes I bought these on a whim. I was looking for some shoes to wear casually, and to work instead of sneakers. Very well built. Really nice fit, quality, and comfort. I also wear orthotics for plantar fasciitis, and they fit well with them too. I’m a size 13 and they’re a little snug because they don’t “give” as much as a sneaker. A much better buy and shoe than sneakers in this price range. Even my expensive sneakers over $130 seem cheaply made next to these.
