If there’s one thing we know best, it’s water. Our athletes, customers and colleagues told us they wanted a reservoir that delivered more water per sip, with a foolproof design that made it easy to fill up and hit the trail. The brand new Crux delivers 20% more water per sip, with an ergonomic handle for easier refilling, and an on/off lever that makes it easy to prevent leaks. Like all of our gear, we put the Crux through exhaustive stress tests to make sure that it won’t fail you on the trail. 100% free of BPA, BPS and BPF.

Product Features

  • Offers 20% more water per sip

  • On/off lever lets you seal your drinking tube shut with one hand
  • Hydro guard technology inhibits the growth of bacteria in the reservoir and tube
  • Big bite valve self-seals after each drink, eliminating annoying drips

I love that the tube detaches so for the first time ever I can clean the entire length. My only gripe is there’s an attachment running up the middle so if you have the cleaning supplies with the insert that props it open to dry, that won’t work. I just use 2 paper towels.

Easy to misthread Love the new flow valve as my previous pack’s bite valve garnered an extra hole and would drip during runs. This avoids that. I took off stars due to this new lid. The previous version had Visual indicators of where to start threading the lid, and where it was locked in place. The first time I screwed this thing on it leaked like a sieve. After trying a dozen or so times I got it to successfully thread maybe once. Looking at the underside of the lid I found where the threading starts, and with…

Good bladder – would buy again Used two of these for a week+ hiking. Zero issues at all with either of them. As long as you can handle properly lining the threads on the lid up, and you check the thing for leaks before you put it in your pack, it will work just fine. Added bonus – if you did have a problem with the lid, it’s at the TOP of the balder, not the bottom. As long as the water level is below this, it shouldn’t leak. 3L mark is just to the bottom of this lid when it’s hung in my packĀ
