If there’s one thing we know best, it’s water. Our athletes, customers and colleagues told us they wanted a reservoir that delivered more water per sip, with a foolproof design that made it easy to fill up and hit the trail. The brand new Crux delivers 20% more water per sip, with an ergonomic handle for easier refilling, and an on/off lever that makes it easy to prevent leaks. Like all of our gear, we put the Crux through exhaustive stress tests to make sure that it won’t fail you on the trail. 100% free of BPA, BPS and BPF.

Product Features

  • Offers 20% more water per sip. Lumbar design shifts water weight to your lower back for more stability on the trail

  • On/off lever lets you seal your drinking tube shut with one hand
  • Hydro guard technology inhibits the growth of bacteria in the reservoir and tube
  • Big bite valve self-seals after each drink, eliminating annoying drips
  • Dimensions :46 x 23 x 8 cm / 18 x 9 x 3 in

Odie says:

Leak proof Works as well as my previous Camelbak Antidote bladders. This one doesn’t leak at the cap when overfilled, like the previous bladder could sometimes do.

I was happy with its performance I recently took the 3L Crux on a 5 day/4 night backpacking trip in the desert. Some days I had it filled up all of the way, other times just to the 1L mark. I was happy with its performance.

Evolutionary but not revolutionary…and yes, the Antidote was BROKEN and in need of an update. Camelbak asks, “How do you improve a product that is by no means broken?” First, the Antidote bladder had some really bad issues. Anyone that owned one for more than a few months soon realized that the seal around the fill lid would get stuck. The rubber would break down just a bit and it would take Hercules to get the thing off! The new Crux already, in just a couple of uses, seems to have solved that. I will update this review in a few months. BUT, the Camelbak does the UNTHINKABLE…
