This Caribbean rope hammock is hand-crafted in a tradition that dates back over 100 years. It is made from a continuous woven bed of three ply twisted rope with a soft comfortable construction. While other rope hammock makers have been using thinner ropes and less of them in an effort to cut costs, we still insist on 80 stands of 8mm polyester rope. that results in a well balanced hammock with the most comfortable ride. Add to that, that we use solid wood spreader bars with marine spa varnish and zinc plate ‘O’ rings for the ultimate in weather resistance, this is the best value for rope hammock on the market today.

Used lightly 2 summers, now it’s in shreds! We loved everything about this hammock when we got it last June. We used it 5-6 times before we took it down for the winter in October. We put it up again this April and again used it maybe 5 times. We were totally surprised when, by the end of summer, the hammock was nearly shredded through on every strand near the cross bars.Did something chew it? Maybe our pair of red squirrels? Don’t think so, as the damage done would have taken an army of them, and there are lots of better…
Love this for hanging around! Great color, durable, easy to hang. I only wish we had more cool, mosquito-free days in Central Texas so I could enjoy it more often. Since it is not cotton, it holds up well in the elements and lasts longer. Note – the ends are not well secured, so you might want to burn the frayed edges of the rope to keep from unraveling.
