Gear option for mounting a cb antenna I went on a three week trip to the South West up through Yellowstone, wanted a cb in the truck to listen to trucker chatter and communicate with my brother in his rv. This cb mount mounts to anything round up to approximately inch and a half maybe a little more. I clamped this to my allpro pack rack to hold my cab antenna and it stayed on for approximately seven thousand miles of mostly interstate travel, never budged.
Fantastic Mount! This mount does a great job. I already had a 3/8″x24 stud that I put on it. For something like a Hamstick, a Buddistick, or any type of portable vertical antenna, it does a great job. It could even be a permanent mount, but I’d save it for portable. It has a small hole that is ideal for a counterpoise or ground radials to be mounted to it. While it was similar in price (with a stud) to the actual Jaws model, you would have to pay shipping, making this a much better deal. I can see myself…

I can’t say for certain, but it looks to be the same OEM mount included with a certain antenna manufacturer’s clever “Jaw Mount” product (a company known for rugged high-quality antennas). In any case, the build quality here is excellent. Some reasons why I think this mount is pretty great: – 180º swivel can be set anywhere throughout its range, allowing attachment to lopsided structures -…
