A very nice lightweight and portable product When rolled out, this is quite large so even for some one over six-foot like me, your legs won’t be nudging the bottom. Once erected, there’s enough room to switch from lying on your back to either side – and even to read. There also seems to be enough room in it for something like a bulky three season sleeping bag. I had been expecting this to be quite large package when all wrapped up but upon receiving it, saw it’s actually quite small and snug for such a large shelter, so it will attach to…
Pros -The hood design is excellent for having the hatch open in light rain I have been using this bivy for 5 years now (quite intensely) and still is as new! I’ve never had an issue getting wet in it (and I’ve camped out for two weeks under constant rain in it) and have had no wear and tear issues.
Great Bivy for the Price I primarily hammock camp, but when I’m sleeping above treeline[11,00ft-14,000ft] I take this bivy. I wish the top layer was doubled or a bit thicker, and sadly there is no way to close the mesh vent at the top of the head box. Yes the triangular tarp pullout covers it, but it dose not stop the wind from blowing under it. Some ventilation is good because it keeps you dry ,but too much is a bad thing because it pulls heat from your sleeping bag. This is a small problem and only comes up in…
