Solid Esee clone, and a great general purpose outdoor knife. It’s a blatant copy of the Esee 3. Which isn’t a bad thing. Like the esee, it’s an excellent size and design for a general purpose camp knife. It’s small enough to be handy and allows good control for delicate work, but also large enough for hard use and batoning. It’s significantly thicker than the esee, and made with cheaper chinese steel and handle materials, but otherwise you probably couldn’t tell the difference unless you had them side by side. Great inexpensive knife I just received this knife. Long term use will determine if my initial impressions are accurate. Yes, it is from China. Yes it is 7CR17Mov. Yes, it is a clone of the ESEE3 and Ontario Rat 3. If these are deal breakers for you, please stop reading.
Best knife for the money. I have been collecting knives over 40 years. I got my first real knife at 7. My 25 yr old daughter uses it now.
