Will not transmit! Doesnât work! Receives communication, but can not send. Now itâs a little more than a month since my purchase and I can not return. Piece of junk and dangerous.
worked great until it started on fire! Unit was installed on boat and first trip out started on fire. After putting fire out on the boat and rewiring it still worked except the GPS part of it. The unit was installed with the positive and negative wires exposed on the ends. When another issue happened and went to fix it the wires touched and started we have a fire!! NOT ITEM’S FAULT.point is it stilled worked for talking a receiving.
AVOID!!! piece of junk! This is truly a piece of junk. From Day 1 the external speaker jack hasn’t worked, I’ve tried several speakers to verify this. I’m pretty sure it’s not transmitting either as I’ve been unable to get any responses on the radio. I have been unable to connect to anyone at customer support to replace the radio. Out of curiosity I opened the housing today and found the circuit board shows considerable corrosion and bridging between terminals. This radio is protected from the elements and has…
