A cool thing We took two, three day trips through the desert with only a partially full cooler, and some of our ice was still intact at the end of the trip. If the cooler was pack full of pre-chilled food I’m quite sure it would last 5 days.

Holds ice pretty well. Took it camping and was into it … Holds ice pretty well. Took it camping and was into it every 5 minutes. Held ice for 2 days, which is good considering the amount of time we used it. 2 stars for the hinges. The metal screwed-in hinges are terrible and there is no strap inside the lid to keep it from flying backwars. Plastic hinges would have been better, but still a flaw. There are other reviews that talk about people adding the lid retaining strap. Coleman needs to have that in there. Not some after-market, MacGyver…
