Another Sous Vide User! Bought this and a 24 can Stacker specifically for sous vide cooking. I used a hole saw kit from Hazard Fraught and my circular saw to cut a very close fitting hole, then filled the lid with expanding foam. I wanted to be able to lift the lid without removing the circulator from its bracket. I use a dry washcloth to keep any additional condensation from escaping around the bracket, but it didn’t seem to collect any water at all which means there’s not a lot of heat or evaporation escaping the…
Great Cooler! I purchased this cooler because I am on the road quite a lot and am sick of being limited to eating what’s available at rest stops etc. The cooler needed to be large enough to hold breakfast and lunch items (almond milk, lunch meat and condiments), as well as beer. I also wanted a cooler which would fit in my trunk and allow plenty of room for other things as well. I really wanted something which was made in the U.S.A., and something green, if possible. Sous Vide! Got this for my Anova Sous Vide machine. Drilled a 2 3/8″ hole near the edge on one of the long sides hoping for better heated water distribution. Have NOT used it yet but so far it looks great and I think (based on other reviews) is perfect for my purposes. The circulator fits really well and I don’t have to use the side clamp. It does take a lot of water so probably good idea to get a smaller bin for smaller batches of stuff. In the future will likely seal the edges around the hole and…
