About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a “no light, no pay” clause–a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked–and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company’s current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won’t deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

BEST COOLER I got the chance to use this yesterday, when I was first looking for a cooler, I wasn’t exactly sure how big 62 quarts is so I have uploaded a picture of it with soda cans inside. It says that it holds 85 cans which, maybe possible stacked with no ice. I rolls easily, there are two handles for carrying, and a spout on the side to let water out. There are also 4 cup holders on the top. I am very happy with my purchase. I got 1 22lb bag of ice and it filled it about half way. The ice has been in…
Did exactly as I expected! Awesome Chest! Use it for all my parties and get togethers! I’m not a person who camps or hikes, just a Family Man who wants to have cold beverages throughout events! This Ice Chest does the trick. Now, I do have a life, so I didn’t set a timer and keep checking back to see when each piece of ice melted, but I can tell you that I threw a 6 hour party and filled up the cooler once with ice, and that was at the beginning of the party. The drinks stayed cold and chilled and my guests enjoyed…
Great cooler; check the plug! We ordered this cooler for a camping trip to Yellowstone. No leaving food items around, so we knew our cooler had to make it all day, everyday in the hot car. As a cooler, this performed very well. Now, we did *really* load it up with ice, but we did still have some ice left when we got home, a full five days. Once the ice started melting, however, we had water leaking all over the floor of our minivan, soaking our boxes of food. We initially thought maybe the drain cap had been knocked…
