No insulation in lid. I haven’t used this cooler yet but I will tell you the lid has absolutely no insulation. It is hollow. The sides and bottom are insulated. Yes, I can sit a 9×13 size pan in the bottom. This was my main concern as I take casserole dishes and cakes to various events.
A Good Buy Arrived in original box with no additional packaging. This is fine as it was packed well. This is a well designed product for the most part and I love the two way handles. Anyone ever had a ice chest you needed to get out of a truck bed and the flip out handles were jammed against other items making it impossible to use them will appreciate these. The wheels are nice too making it an easy carry out to the beach or somewhere with a long walk. I do think they could be larger as it would be nice…
Great size – not sure about quality and ability to keep things as cold as it claims Love the size, the extendable pull handle is sturdy. The side carry handles (and front) look nothing like this one in the image on Amazon – the one I got has flimsy white slide-type handles that look and feel like they could snap at any time.
