The battery lock system on a Coleman Divide+ push 425L LED lantern stops battery drain, so you’ll have the power you need when you need it most. On a normal lantern, there is typically some residual drain as long as the battery is connected in the circuit, even when the light is off. By simply rotating the bottom switch, you can completely disengage your batteries, so they can be stored in your lantern for years (up to their inherent shelf life). you’ll also reduce the toxic corrosion that can damage your lantern. The bail handle makes carrying your lantern easy, while the single button makes operation simple. No matter the situation, from power outages to roadside emergencies, a lantern with the battery lock system is ready, even when you aren’t.

Actually bought another one to use at different location. Lantern is very good. Bright setting lights up the whole room. Look carefully in the battery compartment to determine their orientations.
Simple, Robust, and Effective Lantern This lantern is very well made, easy to turn on and off, and puts out two levels of light, the highest being sufficient to light a 9-person tent. The light output is also diffuse, so it’s not as harsh as a lantern without a diffusing outer window like this one has. A friend saw it on our last camping trip and is planning to buy his own for emergency use.
Just what I needed! There is a high probability that I will lose electric power during a thunderstorm so I needed a lantern during those times. I have a smaller lantern but it does not give out much light. With the Coleman Divide+, I am able to read a book. It is easy to operate and has 3-settings: low, high, and flashing.
