Spend another $10 and get a “real” one This item is useless. I did some tests with it and another compass, and what I found was pathetic; this unit isn’t even accurate to itself! When I orient it North, the needle points almost Northeast, but if I orient West on the compass as North, the needle reads accurately. Something in the manufacturing of my unit has lead to serious inaccuracies, rendering this product useless. For $6 you might as well buy one of those old suction cup ones used for a car’s dashboard.

Danny says:

Nice compass, but not what you see in the picture For $6 dollars, this compass does just about everything I purchased it for. It gives accurate readings and is reasonably durable. The compass isn’t exactly what you see in the picture, but what you receive is actually nicer than the product depicted. If you’re looking for a cheap compass that will get the job done, I would recommend this.

Elliot Pollack says:

Closing issues but accurate The compass came on time and works well. It points accurately and quickly. The only problem is that it is incredibly difficult to open from the closed position due to its incredibly tiny latch (see photo). When I tried to open the compass, I broke the latch and now it won’t fully close.
