A few points on the lantern. Bright lantern and good for the money. The carrying case is made of plastic but is rugged enough that I trust it to protect the lantern from most bumps. The bail(handle) is an odd shape to allow it to lay on the outside of the case making the bail very non-ergonomic.Will not work with the aftermarket spark igniter found on amazon.

Awesome lantern I used to have a similar lantern for camping years ago, but I lost it.

Armando Barragan Jr. says:

Handle fell off during use Tested the lantern before our camping trip. Everything worked well. Once on site, one of the fasteners for the handle fell off, crashing the lantern to the ground and breaking a mantle. Disappointed, as Coleman has generally been a trustworthy brand since I was a kid. I still got some use out of it during our camping trip once I bought replacement mantles, but I didn’t purchase this item and not be able to use the handle.
