When used with a sleeping bag, this liner adds 12 degrees of thermal protection, making a 35-degree sleeping bag usable at temperatures as low as 23 degrees! The Coleman fleece sleeping-bag liner is commercial-machine-washable only and comes with its own stuff sack.

Layering. Used with my 20 degree mummy bag for more warmth in the cold season. I use this for layering when hiking, just like my clothing. This allows me to use my small dimension 20 degree bag in colder conditions, by stuffing it inside. I only carry it backpacking during cold weather trips. It does take up some space in the pack, but this and my 20 degree sleeping bag combined take up less space than my zero degree bag. So it’s a win for me. I admit that there are smaller zero degree bags, but they’re pricey. I have kids in the Scouting program, and this is a…

Great thin sleeping bag, and IS zip-in compatible as packaging indicates UPDATE: These bags *DO* zip together and can be combined to make a “2 person” bag. (Read below for my updates/explanation.)
