Great for hiking I got these just in time for my hiking trip, so I didn’t have time to break them in beforehand. In their first wears, my big toe began to hurt because it bends right onto my toe, but I’m sure as I break this in this will go away. Thankfully I have my own inserts, because the ones provided are not padded at all. Overall, I really like these boots and in the very little I tested them the waterproof seems to work.

GREAT shoes! I bought these for my daughter. She LOVES them. She normally wears a 9-9.5 shoe. Since these are hiking shoes, we went up half a size to give room for heavy socks. She has not noticed the crease across the toe problem that other reviewers mentioned. We’re speculating that buying them slightly larger is the trick.

YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH THESE BOOTS Let me start out with: THESE ARE AMAZING BOOTS and YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH THESE BOOTS. These boots held up against all different types of climates and weather and water on my road trip and they still look great! We went to Arizona, Utah, Nevada; the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Zion, Salt Lake. We went through water, dessert, rain, and mud, and these boots held it fine. The only thing we didn’t go through was snow, because apparently even though we Californians were freezing our butts off…
